400 watts at 120 volts is about 3.5 amps. So you probably could do a micro drill press, for your tiny hobbies. if your curious on the 12 volt side, I’d guess it has a 40 amp fuse.

First mod should be to add some dirt. Once that’s done others start making themselves known.

The first car I legally drove on the highway was a 76 Pinto wagon. I had been driving for 4 years at that point.

Running to the battery is preferable than the cigarette lighter any way. You reduce the chance of electrical noise introduced into the radio since you Have separate lines not bundled with everything else. The battery else acts as a giant filter capacitor to further help.

My fire extinguisher, er propane tank, bracket arrived today. A little bit of fiddling and it’ll latch right up.

Given everything else that state has done since I left, my guess is more sinister. Along the line of, they’re counting on you not knowing you need it, then fining you heavily when you don’t.
