Project time: moved the Porsche out into the cold and the Raider into the garage. It's nice and short (in length) so lots of room to work....but it cleared my overhead rack by exactly 1/4" (!!)....Thought I might have to air down to fit it in lol.
So this project will be the swing-out gear...
yeah, saw that one previously, it's very well-done. Though as noted, my pivot mount won't work well with the C-mount he's using since I"m mounting to the1/4" frame extensions rather than the bumper. I do note he's doing it all in 1/8" according to the comments - which is interesting. If I was...
yeah, I'm usually one to overbuild stuff as well (like the cage in my competition stage rally car, which is well beyond requirements). The guys I race with always laugh that my car's structural additions are overkill (but in that case, it's my life vs. a tree at 80mph so it REALLY matters to...
Hope you all had an excellent Christmas (or whatever else you may be celebrating).
My daughters and wife went all-in on buying my camping-related stuff this year, which is probably a major change for them, since before this year I never really camped much at all....

next challenge, anything Mitsubishi from the 80s
Haha...., I actually stepped in almost knee-deep when I slipped off a rock trying to get those lol...luckily I had my waterproof boots and spats so no harm done :) I'll post up some of the other ones tomorrow., of some of the other vehicles there.

Last trip of 2023 - Central West Virginia, Dolly Sodds, Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley, and surrounding areas.

I have a 7' sleeping platform inside (with passenger seat pulled out), and a 6' awning + room on the side, but usually I'm just using the little tent and smaller rear awning for camping...
