Attempting to make a window awning RTT stye

That makes sense. I figure last resort is bungee cord to hold those ends in place. Thank you very much for the input!

Attempting to make a window awning RTT stye

No pole back to the tent to hold the ridge taunt? What stops the side to side sway? Again just that bent pole? Sounds way too simple... By doing some math... LOL. The post of which that bent pole connection has to be lower than the pivot pole by a decent amount. Say 10% past (?). Hmm.. You...

Attempting to make a window awning RTT stye

Can someone explain how the RTT awning are held open with just that bent pole I see on so many? Trying to create an awning for my cloth walls on the pop-top. Do they have a pole in the awning running back to the tent as well? Seems like it has to..

US Southeast Tents & Tires 2022 New Year's Day Rendezvous

What kinda temps are average/expected. We will be Baja bound after Christmas and wondering where to spend New Year's eve with fellow curious explorers. Can you camp up there? Are some of you doing NYE there? Coming out of the Nor'east, Georgia is doable with ease.

    Ottertex Fabric

I match thread to material so 100% polyester thread just makes sense. Needle, I'm trying the microtex/sharp as it creates the smallest hole (that I could find) and was advised it will handle 2 layers, possibly 3 with ease. Though is, if I don't push it, it may handle the velcro as it's such a...

    Ottertex Fabric

I just bought some Ottertex® Polyester Ripstop (PU) - 8.7 oz, so it's late to ask if anyone has experience with it. Details/specs looked good enough to just go for it. I'm coming from Duck Cloth and want something a bit better... Really hoping I didn't make a mistake.. I'll know personally next...

    Northeast

And with that in mind Michael... Is why most of us on this coast wish to break in down a bit. It is as simple as adding the Crew or Regional feature to the web-based platform, instead of the 'pay-for' app... I've bypassed all this by making a private group and more so by making another group on...

    East Coast N/S routing.

Okay.. we bailed out in Virginia. Not the road was too tough, by most means, the roads are fine. I think only twice did I back away due to it went close to single track and then it seemed short distance. For me it was a 'click' I picked up in the steering and I know there's a 'u' joint in the...

    Appalachian Byway and PA camping

The way back we'll be checking online for spots. Figure we'll need one as we cross into PA and just before we leave PA. I'm thinking I may jump off MABDR and switch to NEBDR about mid state. Haven't really worked through this part yet. I'd like to return home using 'some' of the NEBDR, thinking...

    East Coast N/S routing.

We are heading down Skyline/Blue Ridge/Smokie's Parkways then heading north through the NF's back to NH. I figure we'll run the MABDR up as we leave the NF's. Most I read about the MABDR is sections 2 & 8 have the technical spots. Can anyone elaborate a bit on the run?
