How do you carry your recovery boards?

Either on the TJ's roof rack, or on top of the trailer's lid. The roof rack uses the same idea to keep in place - 1/4" bolts with vacuum caps.

US Northwest Gears, Grub & Gab - North Sound Meetup - TEMPORARILY POSTPONED

Will have to see what my work schedule allows. Would be a three-hour drive each-way for me.

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I have one of those camp ovens and I love it.

US Northwest 38th Annual 4x4 Offroad and High Performance Swap Meet

I'm glad ffolks were able to attend. Nice picture of the inside of the event; there was probably double that outside, and in one of the other buildings. Tons of stuff for sale. It is more geared towards the Jeep/Toyota/Scout/Bronco/hard-core/older full-sized & four-wheeling crowd. But you...

US Northwest 38th Annual 4x4 Offroad and High Performance Swap Meet

This might be fun - after the swap meet, tell us what "treasures" you found there. Something you never thought you'd find again? Something you never knew existed? Something you bought and now you need to figure out what you're going to do with it? Let us know. And I think Sunday 8 March is...

Best mobile air compressor unit for Overland travel?

I use the Air Armor M240. Comes in an ammo can and everything fits inside, so is easily portable. It works for me for filling up my 33" tires. Hose and cord (which clamps to your battery posts) are plenty long. Cost is about $130.00. https://masterflowair.com/products/air-armor-m240 I also...

    Mr Buddy Heater Yes/No

I tried out my Mr. Buddy heater for the first time this weekend on a camping trip. Love it! I put it on a baking sheet inside an 8x10' tent with a cot. Like others would do, I would turn it on while getting ready for bed, then turn it off as I was slipping into my sleeping bag. In the...

    Overland Trailers

You are correct; the exact little 4' Harbor Freight trailer I bought and used to start the thread is no longer sold at HF. It actually was never sold in the store; it was sold through their website. But the thread isn't just about my build (although I use mine as an example a lot); I wanted...

US Northwest NW Washington Monthly Campout: February Edition!

Diamond Deluxe made the tub. They make hunting dog boxes among other things. Link: http://www.diamonddeluxe.com/ I wanted a tub in the style of the old WWII trailers because 1) I was in the Army at the time, and 2) It just looks right being pulled behind a Jeep. We emailed back and forth a...

US Northwest NW Washington Monthly Campout: February Edition!

Pretty much. In simple terms, I had an aluminum tub made, and then bolted it to a modified Harbor Freight trailer frame. It has served me well. Here's a link to the trailer on the OB forum, and it includes a build link from the JeepForum...

    Let them eat SPAM!

So for breakfast this morning.... I tossed some of the small cubes of spam in the frying pan and got them cooking. Got four (4) frozen tater tots, and put them in a bowl in the microwave for 25 seconds. Then took the tater tots and broke them up with a fork in the bowl. Added an egg to the...

US Northwest 38th Annual 4x4 Offroad and High Performance Swap Meet

Lots of vehicle aftermarket vendors will be there selling stuff. Seems like last year a lot of booths were selling electric (12V) fridges, and name brands ones too (like ARB). Wear comfortable shoes; you'll be doing a lot of walking. I can't emphasize how big this thing is.

RP done. It is also on the calendar for March. I'm sure they're happy to get the word out. They are part of the PNW4WDA, and it is advertised on the PNW4WDA website. https://www.viethconsulting.com/members/calendar6c_responsive.php?group=&org_id=PNWF&td=1584504000

US Northwest 38th Annual 4x4 Offroad and High Performance Swap Meet

Ok; so I posted this event on the Rally Point. It also shows up on the calendar. I've attended multiple years, and it has always been great. You never know what you'll find, especially if you've got something older. They also have a lot of new stuff too. Some big companies set-up their...
