Honestly it's a great spot for a set-up and stay for a couple nights. Plenty to explore, definitely recommend a rug or something to take your shoes off on before getting into the tent, it's not really sand but not really mud. Oh and bring your swimsuits!

I started on the exo frame to box in the top of the trailer and support the tent/awning.

First try with a rooftop tent. Found a good deal on a used Thule Tepui lo-pro. No complaints at all. Spent a night at Little Fort Campground in VA, next night was streamside on the Piney River near Salt Log Gap.

I am sure of you are hiking you can put down a tent anywhere you like but if you are in a motorized vehicle, that changes things.
