Anyone using a small microwave when car camping

In a different direction, I used to wrap precooked stuff in foil and leave it on the engine block while driving. Even cooked some chicken if I started first thing in the morning. May not be feasible for breakfast. Depending on what you are doing it is possible to vacuum seal and boil it to reheat.

    Ice Pack In Fridge

I rotate the frozen packs from my CSI freezer/fridge to my roto-molded cooler. There is a separate refrigerator compartment also. Worked good on a ten day trip to the Ozarks last fall.

Good Luck with your pursuit. Remember, there's more than one way to skin a cat. And, there is a lot of cat skinning experience around here.

    Tarp recommendations

Just bought this and have set it up once. For the price it works for me. Spent more money on pair of good three part retractable poles that have a protective end cover since tarp doesn't have grommet holes. Probably acquire two more poles at some point. There are so many ways to set the tarp up...

    Covid Quips

Half of us are going to come out of this quarantine as amazing cooks. The other half will come out with a drinking problem. I used to spin that toilet paper like I was on Wheel of Fortune. Now I turn it like I'm cracking a safe. I need to practice social-distancing from the refrigerator...

    New Goal Zero Yeti 500x

Yeah, for a few days at a time a good cooler is fine. Keep the water drained off and not getting in the food and it's good. Working up to some extended trips and seeing what is possible is what I am doing.

    New Goal Zero Yeti 500x

Actually I was doing both. just because I could The freezer has a separate smaller compartment good for milk, eggs, meats, etc. I was using the cooler for drinks and any larger items like the occasional fish or bait. I was just seeing how it worked and how long I could extend things. The...

    New Goal Zero Yeti 500x

Got a GZ 1000 a while back and a 52 qt. fridge/freezer. Took out the rear seat in the Tacoma to put them back there and it works good. I put a front receiver for a cargo carrier and carry a 75 qt. roto-molded cooler there. I freeze ice packs in the freezer and rotate them through the cooler...

Roof Top Tent Mount - Cross Bars?

As you may notice in my profile picture I mounted the tent on the cover and uprights sold by Diamondback. I like the storage on top of the cover and the rear view when not otherwise loaded. I also acquired some locking mounts to fasten the tent to the bars. I may be a little overboard on...

LOL! I was going to put down some irrigation line the other day and when I started digging the hole promptly filled with water. More on the way they say.
