Most people just need a small lift to fit a little bigger tire under their rigs. I know I'm only going with a 2" lift and 33s this spring. Adding airbag in the rear for towing our pop up, and spending the money saved for upgraded shocks and bumpstops. Factory springs are fine. Pretty well...
Yeah. I wish some company (cough Teraflex cough) would make a decent suspension setup for the patriot/compass platform. There are hundreds of thousands of them floating around. A proper spring rate and shock combo on it would be deadly for a nice small overlander. You can add 2" of travel /...
Just what I found. Like I said, if you never ridden in a wrangler JK with suspension upgrades, you probably wouldnt notice. We did. We could just sail up these roads at 80-100kph in my wrangler. We could not do 20 in the pat because the suspension is so stiff. It's just not made for it...
I am using this one in the wrangler above the mirror.

and this one in the patriot...
I joined as a non payer (going to change very soon!), because the other place is crazy elitist! Overland bound is everything that "the other place" is not. I got a time out over there because one of the moderators and I had a discussion for his elitist views on bicycles. Their reasoning was I...
I sold my last wrangler and thought my patriot would be our backcountry warrior. No big rocks, but mostly logging roads with some mild trails if we wanted it to. I installed 30" all terrain tires, some wheel spacers to give it a bit of clearance for the tires, we hit the trails. After one...
I have put 1000 miles on my wrangler in one day with zero issues. Again, it rides better and is more comfortable than my A4. The only thing that the durango would have on it is power if v8 and it's quieter.
Agreed. That being said, there is a raptor in town here owned by a dentist. It's in MINT condition. He bought it because we get alot of snow and he wanted the best off road truck to drive to work. Ha ha ha. I will buy that one!
Again, you have never driven or even been in a Jeep since the JK by the sounds of it. It's awesome as a daily driver, and just a great on the highway. Not a reason not to buy one. Not having enough space is, your lame excuses about being crap as a daily driver holds ZERO MERIT!
Become completely self sufficent from our home base. Make money, do our blog, develop online presence for other business, restore vintage snowmobiles and motorcycles, make custom hand made furniture. Bring people on tours using our jeep. Whatever it takes to give us our freedom.
I am the same. I paid less than half the cost of a new truck for my wrangler. I tried other vehicles and bought another wrangler after I sold my last one. We needed a wrangler for what we do. A truck was not as good off road and my Jeep was better on road as well.
I bought the best...
This comment proves you have no clue what you are talking about. Aev was started using the wrangler as a platform. Not a ram. Not a Colorado not any other vehicle. Btw. Watch out trying to tow a load with your faux 3/4 ton truck. Rumor has it the Cummins in that is no where near the...
Lance campers make awesome slide in campers for trucks. Have a look at them. When I get my mitts on the f150 I am working on getting I am getting a Lance for the back of it.
No.problem again. I drive my wrangler 1000 in one day at times to pick up my son at university. Please. You have never ridden in a jk or jl if you think it rides rough. Yj yes. Jk no. My Jeep rides better on the road for comfort than my Audi a4. My Audi is faster but that's not what I bought my...
