Great topic. I too feel like sometimes we are too critical of shots not looking right or man they should have done more off-roading.... The amount of work that it takes to first plan the trip, pick your gear, pick your shots, take journal notes for later and still have a good time is tough...
I usually tend to pick the vehicle that most people won't use. When I first started moding my F150 there were not a whole lot of companies doing anything overland related for full size rigs. It wasn't until this year that the full size overland market is finally starting to get bigger...
A 2.5" (spacer or coilver) is all you need to run 35" tires. If you have any specific question feel free to ask. I have been in the Ford aftermarket business for over 10 years now.....
