I second using the Ram Mount system. I've used them for putting a GPS a Honda XR400 I used to have. I will be mounting a tablet in my Xterra for nav with Ram. Great system.

The mode privileges accorded under a license are wide ranging. As much as I dislike the cram and test method, I would advise studying just to pass the test, then dig in and educate yourself on the mode(s) you want to use.

I am in the process of getting the rig road worthy again. I'd like to do some day trips up in La Panza and Hollister Hills. Big Sur is beautiful. After some shakedown time, I plan on doing some multi day trips to Death Valley, which I am fascinated with.
