    Watercraft?

We have been looking at the sit on top fishing Yaks... with the changes of boating laws here in Oregon, we won’t be taking the inflatables any more... even a one person raft has to be registered now.

    Watercraft?

Depends on where I’m going... i take inflatables if I’m going to the high lakes, my aluminum boat if heading to the Snake, if no water, then the crafts stay home.

    New Yaesu FTM-300DR vs FTM-400XDR?

Ship from HRO to your home in Kennewick... then have wife send it to you... I’m sorry you haven’t made a contact yet... I have already made several contacts, quite a few of those more than once... Look up the repeaters close to you, and see if there is a “Rag Chew” net scheduled for any of the...

Btech 50x1 & V1 GMRS Frequencies not connecting

I was in the same boat for many months.... GRMS, HAM.. HAM, GRMS... back and forth back and forth... two things stuck with me as I did my research... 1, GRMS repeaters are few and far between here. 2, the way repeater systems work that unless you are on digital your signal only bounces so many...

    New Yaesu FTM-300DR vs FTM-400XDR?

I’m looking into a little hand held... was going to skip it... but it might fit my needs better than a dual band mobile rig... I’m thinking I need a better “Base Station” rig than my FT-2900... it’s a great radio and I’m loving the heck out of it, but feel I’m seriously lacking air time.

    Trouble with Kenwood TM-D710A

I got confirmation you radio is DOA. Continuity should be 35-50 M Ohms for your radio. 0.00 Ohms means dead short inside

    Trouble with Kenwood TM-D710A

I know I am a new Ham, but I do have a little knowledge with electronics (specifically radio gear) I dabbled for several years with experimental radio equipment for RC aircraft. I bought a kit to build my own 20 channel controller running 2.4 GHz with a range of about 4 miles los. The antenna...

    Trouble with Kenwood TM-D710A

That’s not good... that’s not good... that’s direct short... it should have resistance between the center pin on the PL259 connector and the chassis... Not OL and definitely not 0.00 you have an internal direct short.
