The latest update from HRO is "Waiting on Yaesu", which frankly, isn't much of an update. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't getting impatient. I do find it a bit odd that they charged my credit card when I ordered and not when it ships but maybe that's just me.

I don't have my FTM400XDR yet, but I do have a handheld Baofeng UV82HP. I have an external antenna mounted on my Jeep. The Baofeng works fine but I do find it a little difficult using it mobile. It's fine if you just set it to one channel and use a handheld speaker/mic, but it is hard to see...

Update from yesterday on mine is hopefully by the end of the month. Yaesu is sending 2-3 lots at a time to each store.

I hear you, I chose d) all of the above...haha! I have a mic mount on the grab handle with a ram ball on the side of it for a passenger phone mount. Everything else is on the vector dock using ram mounts, tablet, Inreach, gopro...etc.

Well this is the update from HRO, looks like it's going to be awhile: "we are still waiting on Yaesu to catch up to sales . We currently have over 300 units on back order and 1300 on order. Last check Yaesu claimed mid Feb for the first wave"

When I ordered mine it said it would be handled by the Burbank, CA store so I guess whatever HRO store is closest to your ship-to location is where it comes from? I'll hit them up in a couple days if I haven't seen any more order updates from them.
