I cancelled my reservations for May in Moab.
I don't see things improving any between now and then. This thing clearly has yet to peak, and it will be awhile after the peak before things open back up.
Is that a TP stockpile I spy?
:tonguewink:
Nice to see the plans for the motor. I especially appreciate the surge tank. I was looking into this 20 years ago for my '73 Burb and that surge tank was the exact thing I wanted and couldn't find. Nice to see they are out there now.
Preach it brother!!
Our "new" vehicle is our '02 Suburban.
That is what The Bride drives if not driving her '96 Impala SS.
My daily driver is my '96 Cherokee (XJ). My '95 Cummins is the pickup I prefer.
None of those count as "old" in my book.
SoCalFest for NAXJA (Jeep XJ Association) is supposed to take place at Calico this year, but as a regional park it is currently closed. No idea if it will reopen in time for the event or not, but my bet would be not.
Sad but true.
Never let a crisis go to waste.
Closing the parks says this is more about taking control over people's lives than it is about their well-being.
This does not bode well:
Moab closed to visitors
I have reservations in place for May. Not new reservations. But I am betting this means they are cancelled.
And what better way to achieve social distancing?
What do these people smoke?
Those aftermarket companies that are involved in racing have a far better feedback loop than do the auto makers. The bigger the company the harder it is to make improvements.
It should also be noted that the aftermarket can build for higher levels of performance than the auto manufacturers are...
Who says you have to choose?
I have two SUVs and two trucks: Jeep Cherokee (XJ), Suburban K2500, Chevy C2500 pickup and Dodge Cummins dually 4x4. Lots of options to play with.
I will say the Jeep Cherokee is my favorite. It goes the most places. I like it for everything from ease of...
As to ashes being good for the soil, while that is true on the east coast, it is not true of the west coast.
The issue is acidity. The east has fairly acidic soil, while the soil in the west is fairly alkaline.
A gardener out west doesn't add ashes to his soil unless he is ignorant.
Oh boy!!
Another form of elitism!
I am going to have to be the first on my block to get a Yeti stainless steel double wall ash packer. I think I will mount it on the hood. You know, just to make sure everybody can see it.
:yum:
Wait until the Rivian and Tesla owners show up. "We don't...
Those are about the same numbers I get with my '95 Cummins.
If you get something that is intended for towing there is not nearly such a drop. OTOH, you pay for it all the time you are driving it. Most folks are probably best served getting good fuel economy most of the time and just paying...
Ahh.
That is a horse of another color.
Not that it can't be done. I saw somewhere where someone did that to a tin-top Samurai and another with a square body Suburban. But it is a substantial project and there are lots of potential failure modes if not done right. Unless you are well...
