Today is the day!!!!!! I finally take possession of the 2" rough country full spring / strut lift kit! I am jonesin' to finish work today. Update and pictures this evening. I am going to make the appointment to get it all installed and aligned as well.
thoughts on the FX4 vs Tremor. The tremor has loads going for it vs the FX4 like the extra little lift, elocker, better bumper on the front etc. Is the 4k tow package worth NOT getting the tremor?
Screw it, find the aftermarket SS supercharged pistons and rods etc and run like 30 psi. Ha ha. I had my egine built with endyn parts in 2001. I used an endyn modified Jackson racing supercharger and a hondata ECU. It hauled ass right from tip in. It was the "funnest" car I have driven, and I...
I'm in on that one for sure!. As someone who has supercharged and turbocharged my previous cars, I concur that the supercharger is extremely fun! Just make sure the rest of the drivetrain can handle it. Currently looking at selling my audi A4 cabrio and getting a low milage challenger V6 to...
our lift is finally going on this coming week. We got the rough country 2" with springs and struts. No spacers. All in one tidy kit for 1000 bucks. We just got back from a weekend road trip and the pat did awesome with it's new tires and re freshed suspension.
Pics Please. Love these old rigs! For all things off road and tracker, go to Calmini. They have many different suspension systems for these rigs and are killer!
We are running the falken AT3W as well, they are great tires for this type of rig. We haven't noticed a huge drop in MPG at all. The pat just scoots around on them no issue. I wish Toyota would give us a Rav4 Prime TRD off road edition!
WIth most vehicles, tire choice is critical and the amount of testicular or vaginal fortitude the driver has! The terrain would benefit from getting off the ground a bit. I parked the pat next to one the other day and my rig looked like it was lifted already (which it isn't).
We are at 135,000KM. There are spots of rust starting to show its face around the rig. We aer getting them fixed, the lift is going in next week and I am then adding the brush guard and lighting. Add in a roof rack platform, and we are done.
Oh, btw, to keep this Subaru related.....This rig...
Thundahbeagle, I have been researching Subies CVT ad nauseum. I think you will be fine with it. They are much stronger than that Jatco garbage that comes in most Nissan, Jeep and other products. I am willing to buy one. I will be adding the aftermarket CVT cooler and using Amsoil CVT oil in it...
