After market shmafter market. When it comes to Silverados, Sierras, Tahoes and Suburbans, they are tanks with tons of storage and power. Secure your gear or luggage in the back and go just about anywhere - highway or overland - in comfort
Ah, so they still offer the traditional z71 package. Good to know.
Looked up the specs on these, and the new Tahoe is very nearly as long as a 1970's Suburban! What a beast
1976 Suburban length 215.7
2021 Tahoe length 210.7
Contrast that with a 2003 Tahoe length 198.8
My nephew has a raised roof shell kind of like yours. Mine is less pronounced - maybe 3 or 4 inches. I had wanted it even with the cab roof but having been in it, as any wife will attest, an additional 3 or 4 inches goes a long way towards happiness.
Right now I just use an inflatable mattress...
Awesome, Sarge. That thing must be roomy as hell to ride in. And being a 250, it must be rugged as all get out. I've got a Leer cap on the back of my '14 GMC Sierra, and even with only the 6 1/2 foot bed, theres plenty of room to sleep on an air mattress and a sleeping bag. You, on the other...
On a whim, at around 11 or noon, we took off from Greater Boston to take a look at what the southern-most portion of the Hamster Ride trail looks like. Once we got to the Dukin Donuts in Hollis and started the trip, it was apple orchards, pumpkin patch farms for miles, which also took some of...
That's cool. I was thinking there should be a place to list shops that specialize in 4x4 or overland setups, if there isnt already. Here in Massachusetts we have a few places, one is Elias 4x4, for example. I've never been there, so I dont know if they work on the Silverado or van type builds...
I have probably 4 pair of beige leather work gloves in my truck. One of them (the Klein Tools one) is lined for the winter.
Also, I keep a couple pair of warm winter gloves.
If a truck and SUV company is not designing a new Blazer or a new Grand Wagoneer to be a modern take on a classic, then they should leave those name plates alone.
Call it something else.
For the record, the original SJ, Cherokee and Wagoneer were not designed as luxury executive SUV's, but...
Well, if Wrangler drivers bring gas tanks with them, why wont electric Jeeps be able to bring extra jump packs?
Besides, this 4xe Wrangler will be hybrid, and extra gas tanks will still be a help.
Honestly if you look at the front end of a 2013 RAM and the front of the 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, I always felt that RAM had appropriated and modernized some of the Grand Wagoneer styling and grill/ light angles there. They should have gone with that kind of look at the front for this. It would...
Very good point. My Beagle's got a Kurgo harness, which clicks into the seatbelt receiver or wraps around the seatbelt. Nice and secure. FWIW, the Kurgo Tru-Fit harness is probably the best on the market as far as I'm concerned. Stainless, nesting connectors like on old linesman harnesses. So he...
A Chevy Custom Trail Boss with almost nothing in it is going for $42k msrp. High Country is starting in the 60's. The new Tahoe and Yukon start in the 50's but climb to 70 and up to 80 for the Denali.
And every one of them is more inspiring than this Grand Wagoneer
