Pots and pans (and kettle?) - nesting, compact, not crazy expensive

I had a similar style kettle. the one thing which made me get rid of it was the constantly open spout. I just kept getting the inside dirty during non use. I even made a plug for it but without a tether.......

Is my Range Rover Sport suitable for road trips?

Upgrades and tools/spares are entirely dependent on where you plan to go and your repair knowledge level. Least is you should be able to change a fuse and fix a flat. I was with a group of Rovers in Death Valley one year and one of the Rangies broke a pipe on the suspension. No one had a means...

Pots and pans (and kettle?) - nesting, compact, not crazy expensive

Doesn't take much! Once you get the fire going you can drop more sticks down the throat. GO NAVY!

    Greetings from the West Coast

Angel, I do all my stuff on a laptop so phones may look different. There is a How To tab just below the Overland Bound logo in the upper left corner. When I click on the Forums tab across the top and scroll down there are all the different topics to post in. Click the one you want and at...

Pots and pans (and kettle?) - nesting, compact, not crazy expensive

I too camp singly, cooking for 1 sometimes 2. I found the Stanley Adventure set Robot or human? works great! Boil water for freeze dried meals or coffee. Fits MSR single burner hiking stove or a Coleman single burner white gas to a dual burner. Paired up with a cast iron pan. If you need...

    Primitive camping

I use maps, like the Road Atlas of the State I am going to be in and I look on GooooooooooooogleEarth when planning a trip and mark it on my atlas and pin it in my gps.

    235 vs 30x9.50?

So, no one asked what kind of driving you plan on doing. Are you doing fire roads? Most of the time stock can be fine, wet and muddy, rutted will be challenging. Going to Moab and runnning the trails? The trails are pretty much for 40" tires. People have been using larger and larger tires and...

Can anyone identify this suspension setup on (not my) DIY trailer?

Have you tried an image search on gooooooooooooooooooooooogle?

Question: what to do if broken down and no cell service?

Take a mountain bike with you, it beats hiking for hours to get a signal.

Cargo straps? Who is using what?

If I didn't have a bucket load of rachet straps, I would buy some Matt's straps. https://mattsoffroadrecovery.com/collections/accessories/products/matts-straps

    Thoughts on portals ??

Excuse my ignorance, if they do a gear reduction at the axle, does that not lower your hiway speeds? I had a friend with a Volvo on portals and he could only get up to around 62mph. Is that why?

    Thoughts on portals ??

I agree with you if you keep the 33's(in reality who does?) the gain in under body clearance is a +. Not so sure of the less stress on the drivetrain though. Wouldn't it remain the same or even increase as one tried more technical obstacles? For me it kinda gets back to what is Overlanding? Is...

    Thoughts on portals ??

My first thought is why? On an overlanding vehicle? I could see it on a rock crawler. If you are really going on a trip of the lifetime for perhaps weeks and months, it's just one more thing to go wrong. How will you get it fixed in the Congo? If you are going to Moab for a week and trailering...
