Hello Pascal and welcome from N. Alabama. I've lived in Germany for a total of 7 years and love it there. There are some wonderful places to go overloading in Germany and the rest of Europe.

My current build is a 2000 Ford F-150 that came out of Connecticut and it's covered with rust. I'm in the process of flat bedding it simply because the bed was completely gone.
I go for US made when ever I can but cost and other factors do come into play. Also just because it says US made doesn't mean what most people think. It's put together here in a company somewhere but a whole lost of the parts come from somewhere else. Because of this sometimes all US made does...
Because of all the years of abuse to my feet and ankles I can't wear low cut hiking boots. Also I wear a triple E width and the only ones I've really found that are wide enough and support me well enough are Keen and Under Armor. I have a couple of sets of both.
