I was born and raised in Greenfield. I also spent a lot of time at Monroe Res. and a lot of state parks. I have no problem driving up to IN for a day or a weekend.
Never heard of it. Not really interested in the Badge of Honor, but if you want some company on the trail, I would definitely be interested in coming up there. Maybe Jordan and some of the other Indiana people would come along.
I plan to fab a skid plate/grate after I see how to anchor it to the bumper. I don't mind the height of the winch as it keeps the approach angle higher. Thanks for the input!
I had a neighbor a few doors down from me when I got my novice license. He was a SWL and had a Hammerlund HQ170b. He enjoyed listening to European broadcast radio.
My first reciever was a Hammerlund HQ-110! Back in the 70s when I got my novice. My father helped me pay for it. I had a EICO 720 crystal controlled CW transmitter and I made homebrew wire and vertical antennas and tuning coils.
I haven't been there yet, but there is an off road park in SE Kentucky called Wilderness Trail. They say it is free access with about 120 miles of trails and open camping. It looks Iike some Jeep clubs run it every year or so...
