I like to get my tent set up first. To make it easier, anything that will get setup with it (bedding, cot, foam floor, etc.) will get packed last in the truck. That makes it the first thing out and comes in really handy at night or in the rain.
@Mike G, nothing. You can carry my handheld. The battery will easily last for the trip to CE, but I can give you the charger if you want. It has a replacement antenna for the rubber duck one, so watch your eyes! The frequency is set to 146.460 and the buttons are locked. You can turn it on/off...
First stop, wash the dog. Just as I park, a squealing sound starts from the engine compartment. Weird. The dog is washed. I start the engine and the squeal is still there. Go out and check and notice the serp belt wobbling a bit. Turns out the tensioner pulley is out of alignment. I thought...
Before running some errands today I decided to do a little upkeep on the truck. One of the upper coolant hoses has a shiny spot on it from the sagging hood insulation. So it was time to pull it out for good this time (it was a used replacement). This will give me a better mounting surface to...

Did you go any bigger (over stock) with your tires?
Have you had any clearance issues yet? If you haven't had a problem getting to your destinations, I wouldn't worry too much about getting a lift. If you're looking for places that are harder to get to, then it would be worth considering it. How much can you actually gain, and is it worth the...
Have fun everyone! I'd love to join you but I have trips planned for the following 5 of 6 weekends, including OTG. I hope to catch up with some of you there and hear about this trip. Sounds like a great turn out.
That's a little scary. At the minimum, you should have a nut on the other side of the head. A 3/8" grade 8 nut and bolt would be 1000's of times stronger. What are you using to mount the Hi-Lift? I'd also highly recommend replacing the bungee cords with ratchet straps.
Sorry, I'm not tying to...
