Hey! Im planning to do this trip in the spring. Looks like a great little history tour. My worry about the spring is mud, and high water. Did you encounter many low points, or water crossings on this trip? From all I've read, we should be in the clear but wanted to get your opinion. Thanks!

Hey All. Some of you may already know where I am heading with this thread... It seems that finding an insurance company who is willing to offer coverage for a modified vehicle is nearly impossible. Though I don't have any real mods on my Jeep yet, I do plan to at least upgrade the tires soon...

Thanks for the info! I can say that the GPS file that OF4WD seems to be pretty comprehensive, breaking down the trail heads, the north and south trails, and the black lake loop trail. Their GPS file does end the North trail just before the tracks. They rate it as a 3 out of 5 difficulty trail...

I did the newbie run with them this year, and it was a blast! Totally worth it for the experience, and networking.
