Yeah no thanks on the Cougar. I have a similar story about some Boy Scouts in Yosemite. I heard the rukus and fell back to sleep. They didn't hang the food properly on the metal hangers provided. We would just open air sleep. Had some tarps incase it would rain. I think I want to have a...
thanks, for all the replies. That was my experience when I was a hiker. You had to worry mostly when around population areas. Still never had an issue in National parks. But we were even more careful in those areas. Even though we hung our food and other items we had heard stories of...
Ok total novice here. I have done hiking and such.
My question is, what do overlanders do in bear country with onboard fridges and the like? When I hiked a lot we would hang our food and other bear attracting items from a tree. Thanks and sorry if there is a thread on this.
Edit, sorry just...
The first time I saw them I just loved them. Plus Luke is a Land Cruiser guy. Oh and they are in close proximity to me, so I was able to drop off the abnormal winch I inherited with my vehicle so he could make the front bumper work with it.
I don't have sliders yet but I have ordered bumpers from 4x4labs. Have you looked into thier stuff? Luke the owner is a great guy. I am not sure if he does Tacoma stuff but it might be worth calling. Anyway good luck.
Yes, that would be cool. I met a couple of Washoe Co. sheriffs, one an FJ60 guy. Doubt they are OB members but there is still time, haha. A meet up sounds like a great idea. I think the nearest is Sierra foothills, from what I can tell. Oh and thanks, finding out this takes money, haha...
Hey not sure if this would be right but. Have you checked out Bundutec. They have a new one that is not electric. It folds out pretty quick and seems tough. Not sure on the price. It's not even listed on the website yet. They just have the electric hard top which seems nice if you don't...
Hi all, new around here.
I am looking for a roof top tent. I want something rather streamlined not only in geometry but setup. Also, I want to be able to park in the garage, right now estimating around 15inches of clearance. Also I have a sunroof and would like to keep that clear as well...
Thanks for the welcome.
@Truckerbizz thanks I appreciate it. Same goes to you. Although I am a novice.
@Justin Forrest I really got lucky and bought from my brother. He was told he could only have one vehicle, haha. To my benefit, I guess.
Thanks, again. I think I messed something up. My avatar has two pictures, or maybe that's how everyone sees thier own avatar. Sorry new to the forum world.
@Justin Forrest thanks, it's a 1989 HJ61 (RHD) I guess like everyone a work in progress.
Ok new to forums and a new member without a number yet. Not sure I am allowed to post pictures yet. Anyway, I am a new owner of an HJ61. Loving it so far. Getting some bumpers made for it, also looking into roof tent ideas and beyond.
Edit. Ok obviously I learned how to post a pic, haha
