Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Nothing wrong with that. I'll take my wife's IndelB fridge out of her car for longer trips. Set that up in the back seat for drinks and snacks accessible while driving. Then the Engle is just food for meals. If we are wheeling hard its the RTT, otherwise I pull a Starcraft 10R/T with most of...
Well I don't make such claims. But I do take great pride in hand building them here in Durango. Born out of necessity to protect my own child and dogs. So take that for what its worth. Well over 200 sold at this point. I quit counting.
I have a 2.5lb Halotron mounted in the cargo area of my 80 Series. I want to replace it with a 5 and move the 2.5 in reach of the driver's seat.
I had an engine fire total my FJ40 and will never again discharge a chemical agent fire extinguisher on anything unless someone's life depends on it.
Tires are all about compromise. I've got two sets would like a 3rd.
I run studs in the winter, MT's in the summer. Would like some AT's for road tripping without wheeling.
I also use the cleanwaste PETT system. It folds up smaller than most winch is a plus. Digging a hole is becoming less and less of an option out west. Packing it out is simple with this and a trash-a-roo.

I'm the builder of the Speski OffRoad barrier and on this forum now. If anyone has any questions please send me a message.
Here is my 80 Series Barrier
And I also build them for the early 100 Series pre side impact air bags, with or without rear AC
All comes down to how those bed rail caps are mounted and if your comfortable with someone trimming them a little to make room for some additional structure above. Or maybe the rack could be mounted between the tonneau rail caps and the bed?
So there is some space on top of the bed rail. You may be able to build or have built a rack that would still allow the tonneau to open. If fab work is not your thing take it to a local OffRoad shop and discuss your needs. Steel is pretty cheap. Labor is what you'll pay for.

Based on my experience with Thule/Yakima the weight limit is probably based on your vehicle not the actual rack. Often the fit book will have an * explaining the weight limit.
I'd look at your options over the truck bed. Whether its a simple ladder rack or something 4x4 specific. One...
Our Durango group ran HITR this March. Spent 3 nights out as well as one in route on Snow Flats Road which is part of the historic HITR into Bluff UT. This was one of the best Overland Trips I've made. It has plenty of difficult obstacles and stretches of road. Along with isolation that is...
Fold your mirrors and you should fine with some spotting. There was however plenty of paint on the walls. I drove through without help but folded my drivers mirror out of caution. My flares have already seen plenty of contact so I was not overly concerned if I kissed another.
