Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
We need a full size rig trail run lol I tried keeping up with my buddies Toyota FJ at Hollister hills I finally parked it and rode with him.I lagged so far behind.
Fox 2.0 IFP would be my recommendation if you do moderate off road stuff. They are rebuildable dampens well thus far great off road for me. Spend a little more but worth it IMO.
Was over in the Klamath falls (Chiloquin) area over the weekend beautiful place to visit. Checked out Crater Lake bummer only able to get to the lodge as the road was blocked due to snow. Lots of dirt/gravel roads with washboards fun just cruising around town.
I would add a GMT800 Suburban/Yukon XL 2500 3/4 ton to your list. With a choice of 6.0 or 8.1 liter V8 engines along with 10-12k towing capacity plus ability to have 9/8/7 passengers seating, choice of axle ratios 3.42/3.73/4.10, GM auto Trac 4WD, G80 locker and modern amenities for 6-13k is a...
Did some suspension work today...
Supersprings Sumo bump stops; made a huge difference in comfort and no body roll lovin it.
The OEM bump stop after 13years!
Also installed a Bilstein 5100 series steering stabilizer boy what a difference like a new truck.
Ordered some super springs bump stops mine were all rotted out. Also picked up a Bilstein steering stabilizer for the Burb to clean up the wobble feedback from hitting bumps potholes etc. Then planning on idler/pitman arms to tighten up the steering even more.
Have had BFG K0 and K02 on my Burb and the new K02s perform much better in snow and the sidewalls are much more thicker and a little more piece of mind off-road. Havent tried in mud but imagine the new design will do better. As comfortable and quite just a better tire than the originals.
