I went with powder coat on mine and added clear 15" shower/tub grip tape strips for traction on the top side. They hold up well and are almost invisible since they are clear.

I can tell you that the emblem isn't coming off once you stick it on the outside of your vehicle...that 3M tape they use is damn near perma-bonded to my rig. Others have tried to take them off and have stated that it wasn't any fun trying to remove them. So make sure you like the placement...

I run the Cooper STT Pros on my rig and they are holding up very well on the highway...the noise level is much lower than other aggrieve tires. I have put 5K on them and they are wearing evenly with no irregularities...reminds me...I need to rotate the 5th tire into the mix.
