Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Welcome. I love that big 'ole rig. Reminds me of the station wagon my best friends parents used to tote us around the world in. I also can't wait to come see your part of the states.
I'm not sure how much it will help, but there is a great write up on a dual isolated battery set-up on theroadchoseme.com. He's built up a JKU to travel around Africa for the next 2 years. Check it out if you get the chance.
You could design a cutting board surface to mount to the lid. I personally like the bamboo cutting boards, but they make some really nice composite ones now. Compartments and such should be easy enough to make. I may have to look for one of these myself. I was recently given a nice camp stove...
Hello Everyone,
My name is Danny
My rig is a 2016 JKUR (I finally got my Jeep)
I am 100% new to Overlanding. I have a few friends and family that are Crawlers, and as fun as it is it's not my cup of tea. I love being outdoors, traveling and finding new adventures.
