Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
2 Weeks and we're ready to go :) If you're planning on showing up, please let me know, here.
It looks like things are shutting down again, so let's prepare for the possibility of them NOT being open for sit in dining. I'm bringing a cooler :)
I'll have the OB flag on my rig for ID
Hi everyone,
We were wondering if there is any off grid camping off of forest road 9N22? This road is very close to Lake of the Woods, CA, near Frazier Park. Any info would be appreciated :)
Chili Quelles (sp?) was our favorite breakfast this past trip. For lunch we made a cold cut, cheese and fruit platter, and then for dinner, a Tomahawk rib eye and baked potato with brussel sprouts :D After 4 days and 3 nights out in the mtns, we ate well and are always ready for another trip...
Just took our skottle for its 2nd outing. We took a whole box of stuff LESS, than the last time and we still brought the 2 burner Coleman, because we were afraid ...Not again, doubt we'll be bringing the Coleman for a while. the burner of the skottle comes out, and is basically, a Coleman single...
I had the $ and the want for one and now I wouldn't camp without our skottle...$325 IS a lot, but I literally took away a whole crate of cooking implements (Like pots, pans and cooking utensils), so I end up carrying less and have more room for the dogs lol
We like Tommy's chili over a baked potato :D AMAZING!!! Sadly, you folks outside of CA or NV can't get this stuff :(
We leave tomorrow morning for our favorite spot...will be making a stop at Tommy's on the way to get a Qt lol
Just a heads up, The Red Robin went outta business a while ago and the place is now The LAZY DOG! Meeting is now at the Lazy Dog...same place, just different name.
If you're interested in joining us, we'd be glad to have you. We're Meeting at the Red Robin at The Oaks in Thousand Oaks. It's just off Lynn Rd on the 101 fwy. We plan on meeting by 7 pm at the entrance to the Red Robin...just look for the other rigs :)
