Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
The wife is a critical care nurse so we the education side covered as long as she is with me. We keep a good first aide kit in the Jeep but a recent injury (that would be me) proved we need to update and invest in a more complete kit.
We haven't run into any emergencies on the trails as of yet...
Yea, saw that one a while ago, thought it was going to be along the lines of this thread but it was just a cooking show (nothing wrong with that).
We are working on building one for the back of our Jeep. Will post up once we get it done.
I liked the Small Rig, Big Adventure article, it really reinforced the idea that there is no one best overland vehicle. The vehicle that works best for your particular style of overlanding and the one that you are most passionate about is the one that will encourage you to get out and explore...
Thanks for including the article on Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, we are heading up there next month for three days of hiking. You wouldn't happen to have anything on the Cumberland Gap National Park?
Great article and great mindset. Its nice to see others who feel exploring in a vehicle is only part of overlanding. The wife and I had a great time exploring a part of the Florida National Scenic Trail this past weekend and it reinforced our view that spending time exploring out of the vehicle...
But if we have a problem how do we get it fixed without an administrator? I mean seriously, based on the Heisenberg uncertainty principle this could have adverse repercussions in at least eleven dimensions, according to the latest String Theory hypothesis.
Check out the National Forests, you have three or four almost in your backyard. You have a lot of options up your way. We are heading through the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area this spring which is northeast of Dahlongega.
It is fun having a little buddy. Our problem is ours falls asleep as soon as she hits the backseat . . . no matter how rough the trail. She is more a hiker.
What size are you looking for?
The Foundation doesn't have stickers so our group got approval to print our own. We did two large for my and my daughters Jeep for Jeep Beach, she still has her on her Jeep. We also did a bunch of 2x2's as a fund raiser.
If you would like, you can go on The...
If you are combining New England the Mideast, that is exactly what I was thinking. Its still a bunch of driving but that is what Overlanding is about anyways. The big difference is if we have a meet up its a reasonable distance from one another and we all have something basically in common...
