Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Doesn't matter that the panel is cheap, it is working. Like it has been suggested, check all the wires, make sure they are all correct (im sure you have already but do it again) take photos of your connections and see them all to redarc. Possible they just sent the unit back? left hand not...
Theres no real way around this is there ("this" being single track or bike only use). Until enough members fill out the OB1 map with tracks that have the info. It would be nice to have either a bike icon for bike only tracks, or have the ability to filter out bike only tracks. But totally get...
I have only ever done solo trips, its actually one of the reasons I joined Overland Bound is cause I wanted to see if there were people it would be cool to ride with over some trails that I would avoid solo. I'm very much antisocial so I dip my toes for a long time. And I have not yet gone out...
Yeah, the tires are 33" so a bit bigger but nothing crazy. I think you are right...for a full expedition I might throw it on the roof but not for smaller getaways. I might experiment by finding a good trail and trying different setups to see the handling differences.
Ah, "non" was missing from your original post and my brain didnt fill it in, apologies, then go the other way, will be easier, and its a good unit...though the Wouxon KG-1000g shouldn't be hard to figure out.
On topic though:

I have for years heard my 99 GMC...
Apologies for being slightly off topic, is that an "on suite" (shower/privacy room) on the back of your awning? If so whats the set up, fine to private message so as not to hijack, if not disregard.
If you are a radio nerd as you say, then the Wouxon KG-1000g is the way to go, as the Midland is designed for the non nerd. If you were looking for something that you could just plug in and play and was simple and worried about having to be a radio nerd then go the other way, my $2 (counting...
Its important to keep the trail color by difficulty for the track, but also the ability for the trail color to be preference while navigating (perhaps color inside with trail difficulty outline [this is only during turn by turn nav style]. What I dont want to see is color spaghetti when looking...
This is a cool find, I would like to see one at 1/2 size the small one, but I dig it, and am thinking about some applications on a remote property that would be cool. No idea on pricing though. As it is, and as people have pointed out, there are alternators (like the one I have installed) that...
Added some Spectrum sound deadening (on top of Damplifier Pro) and fogged some of the cavities in the fenders with cavity wax. For some reason the uploaded pics are showing up as upside down? Weird bug.
