Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
@Dan Tracy noticed you are in Watsonville! i'm from Santa Cruz. Want to get a Santa Cruz County convoy to Gilroy?
My rig is pretty slow though...like tractor slow
Nice!! SF to Mexico in 5 days is pretty intense...let alone on a mountain bike!!
Sweet rig! Two panniers on the rear rear wheel? It must have a rack on it to then , right?
Yeah me too....don't worry about that. Did we ever decide a CB channel to use? The Cb that came with my rig , which might not even work, only goes to 22!
Hey guys,
We have been talking in the Norcal convoy forum about possibly having a small flea market Friday afternoon. I just want to feel it out before we say yes or no. Really would need people to bring items they are willing to sell. Interested? Think its a good idea?
Also , we have been...
I have found these out and about while camping or hiking by accident. I even found one in a super random old library book! the pages were cut out to fit a small box Kinda messed up but fun to find.
Not really overland as I think the definition relates more to vehicle(gas or diesel )dependent travel but wanted to see if anyone else is into this.
I have ridden my bike along the U.S. from Canada to Mexico a couple of times, through Japan and from Copenhagen to Portugal. Camping every night...
Lets do a swap meet too ! I have some stuff that i would rather hook up OB members than ebay. Lets see how this pans out with the Norcal crew then propose it the other caravans especially if we have more 'teachers' willing to volunteer.
I have been trying to get a hold of Mike or Corrie for...
Yes!! I would also really like that. So far you have two students who are ready! If more people volunteer to teach , we could make a schedule after the time we get there and set up and dinner.
I was thinking..(not always a good idea but).. Since we are arriving at camp so early on Friday, I think it would be really cool if we did some type of informal classes or presentations. I would love to learn more about first aid from an emt/ paramedic, learn about solar panels for our rigs...
Im coming from Santa Cruz and could join however i'm taking my 1982 fj60 and it is stupid slow on the highway. I am usually tagging along with the 18 wheelers up hills and topping out at 60- 65 with a tail wind! . Anyone else driving anything classic or slow?
