Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I've never known it to be an "am-pm" type of trail. I thought it was a simple open/closed deal. I've been up there around 9-10pm and was able to come back out so I doubt they close them based on time of day.

I've seen videos on the youtubes of people driving through it with a decent few inches of snow on the ground. I have a feeling they let it go until it is actually "unsafe" to drive and not just: at your own risk of being stuck.

I recently bought a ram mount and really enjoyed it but it was a suction cup mount that vibrated when offroad.
I'm sure I don't have to explain the frustration of not being able to read a map or directions, especially when you're somewhere you've never been before.
I wanted to hard mount it...
The answer all depends on the degree of trail you'll be taking or want to take. You could spend anywhere from $500 to $5000 very easily when all you really need is about $1000 worth.
Most trucks are very capable and only need certain parts replace with stronger versions that can handle the...
Bedford is a blast! I'm up there regularly and was just up it the other day. Definitely a more scenic path than ITT.
Bedford is Blue, ITT is yellow and North Main Divide is red

Does anyone know of any open truck trails in the Northern CNF area in SoCal? I've tried multiple trails and they've all been closed off. The Forest Service website is hardly any help as they don't update it for days/weeks at a time.
I've cruised through the southern area via South Main Divide...
I've had BFG KO's (originals) and now I have Cooper ATP's. I love BFG's but the Coopers work excellent and were $300-$400 cheaper than new KO2's of the same size.

I'd love to buy everything on my overlanding wish list so I can just about travel to any location. Suspension is a whole other monster, so that might happen early 2018.
As far as trips I have a couple that will take me over most of Southern California and a little bit of Utah. I really really...
I agree with Glenn. I visit plenty of overlanding/offroading/4x4 forums and some of the questions I honestly wish I could answer but I don't have the knowledge. In my mind, why answer if I don't know what I'm talking about?

I don't plan on taking mine off periodically and I'd rather make sure it doesn't rip off or come loose over rough road and long trips

Thanks for the response. I've been looking at fabing my own bed rack and I wanted to see how everyone secures their own version.

Out of curiosity, how did you secure the rack to your bed? From what I can see in the pictures it looks like you used 4 bolts about 1/4" or 3/8" in diameter?
