    New Guy From DC Area

It was a blast! I'm realizing the community in our area is much bigger than I would have thought. This is awesome!

Jeep JKU, Awning without a roof rack

@GrnRubi, take a look at how I did my awning. Yes it’s a roof rack, but the old fashioned gutter mount Thule system-no drilling or modding of the hardtop. Works like a champ, and is not too pricey, plus you can use the rack for a host of other things-kayak, bike, ski, etc.

US East Northern VA / MD Monthly Meetups

Welcome! It’ll be great being able to meet everyone else in the area from OB! Definitely looking forward to it!

Two small cb’s. Which to choose?

Not the greatest pics as I took them in the garage just now. Short video as well to show you the color choices. Wasn’t much else to take pics of-the “brain” of the unit is mounted directly under and behind my glove box. *edit-guess videos cant be uploaded from phone, or I’m just clueless as to...

HAH! Now that is funny! I head out to Morgan Hill every year to see Specialized, as we've been a dealer since the mid 80's. Great company. Definitely THE most innovative in our industry, by far.

Also very good points. Just for clarity purposes, Tune-Ups and any sort of Service package, are always offered by the actual retailer, and it can vary from store to store. Also remember, the term Tune-Up can be defined differently by shops-some give you more, some give you less, so make sure...

    Mountain biking

Oh man, mountain biking in 1989! That's right about when I started as well. It's so crazy to see how mountain bikes have progressed over the years, and even more impressive to see how the RIDING has progressed! Ever watch Red Bull Rampage? Wow!

    Mountain biking

I've been in the bike industry for about 25 years, and Kyle & Kari basically hit the nail on the head. There's a massive difference in quality between what the mass merchants(Wal-Mart, Target, etc) and an independently owned bike shop will offer. In a bike shop, you'll find the brands that you...

Two small cb’s. Which to choose?

Sorry for the slow response! The quality feels great. Honestly, I don't have much to compare it to as it's my first personal CB that I've ever owned, but it appears to be well made. Size is great, buttons are all very easy to get to as well-very ergonomic. And it comes with PLENTY of cord...

    Camp Photos!

Camp setup with one of the first members I met here, @JRElaxED. Out in Elizabeth Furnace area. And I love the practicality of an awning. You can pull over anywhere and have instant shelter and cook space. One of my favorite add-on's.

One of my favorite weekend getaways....Fort Valley area of Front Royal-only about 70 miles from DC.

Good question....I haven't really dived into checking it out in depth. Would be a good weekend trip!

    Zombie Apocalypse in Richmond Va.

Welcome Tom! I’m relatively new myself as well, and from VA. Checkout some of the Meetups on the board here. There’s a few things going on in VA, including the Roof Top Tent Rally(no roof tent needed). Your Delica would be a hit!

    Refrigerator reccos

ARB 37 here for the last two years...LOVE it. Keeps shit cold, and no soggy mess like an ice chest. I’m sure you can’t go wrong with either.

    ARB vs. Snomaster

That’s really surprising. I own an ARB fridge, drawers, and awning. They’ve always been extremely helpful on the phone when I’ve called. I can always get someone on the phone and they’ve always helped with whatever the issue may be.
