Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I had a Fleetwood Cobalt trailer for a couple of years. Great little trailer. I never switched out the tires or modified the suspension, but it worked out really well for gravel/forest roads. I miss that little trailer! Slept 4 people with ease, and up to 6 if you used the dinette. Plenty...
Honestly, I know I really won’t ever need it that often, and the 3.5 and mount was being sold together for a great price so I grabbed it. It’ll be more than durable enough for me.
Just purchased the Fuelpax 3.5 and mount. Installed on the Smittybilt basket I picked up a couple weeks ago. Didn’t really want to mount the Fuelpax so high, but the mount fit perfectly on the rack.
Baofeng radio just showed up and waiting for the JeepUniq mount to arrive to hold the Baofeng...
Well said James! I totally agree! You don’t know what you like until you try it. I always say, you don’t know chocolate is your favorite until you’ve tried vanilla and strawberry. For some reason, I relate a lot to food![emoji16]
Awesome! Ya know, that's tough. It really all depends on what you value more, and what you WANT to do next. For me, suspension and tires was always the first couple of things, and I think it is for most people. Let's face it, most of us want a lifted vehicle, whether it's out of necessity or...
I’d warm up the surface just a bit. It’ll definitely make them adhere better, but it’s not totally necessary. I’ve used that same 3m tape on many projects over the years. It’s strong stuff.
Awesome article.....funny as well, in his creative, honest, style of writing. When I was a kid I used to want to be a truck driver. Long haul, truck driver. I thought it sounded like the most awesome lifestyle. Until you meet a few long haul truck drivers when you get older. Not so glamorous!
Hey Zach! Looks like you're starting out on the right foot.....better traction and visibility! Sounds like you have some good plans for what you want to do! I love seeing the progress of a vehicle from the start. It's always interesting to see the choices people make on their vehicle...
I've had Apple products since the first Iphone. I'm not a very techy person when it comes to electronics, in particular, computers, but do really like Apple's IOS system and how well everything integrates. I've been thinking of getting a new Ipad Mini recently to handle on board GPS/Gaia, but...
I picked up a Uniden CMX760 CB last year, and just purchased one of the Baofeng UV-5R 8Watt Mirkit edition radios for GMRS, and Ham if I ever felt the need in the future. For the price, couldn't beat the Baofeng. I should be getting it tomorrow. Mainly purchased it for an upcoming trip that's...
