Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I think it's the opposite. Back on first page I think, OverlandOzzy1 wrote " The plan is to stop and meetup at 1400 Friday afternoon, get some food and beers and head down to camp late afternoon around 1600. "
Meet up is at "Boojum Brewing Company and Taproom in Waynesville "
What does everyone suggest?
I think the Trail Side site is kinda far. Think it shows it at 2 miles. While thats great for a hike and camp all weekend. Not so much for back and forth, and gear is set to be near vehicle.
Hi, I'm going to be coming up from Tampa/Sarasota FL. Trying to get a campsite. I think there is only one left, called Trail Side.
*Edit* I got the last spot, Trail Side #1. It's a walk in campsite.
I have a bag that hangs on the spare tire. Happy to keep trash bags in it. And toss things we find in there to help w/ trail cleanup.
I also have a air compressor, it plugs into the car outlet, also has the ability to connect direct to battery.
Think getting a clear understanding of the trails might be useful. It's a 10 hr drive for me to get to there, and 5hrs for another member. ( who drives a 2003 Wrangler TJ no lift) Otherwise I'd go check it out. And I think we need verification the trail is open.
I have a winch (w/ recovery...
So what level of vehicle is required for this then? I have a 2013 Wrangler Sport JKU w/ a 2" lift, no lockers, and 33" tires.
How do we find out if the trail is closed?
Not sure I've heard of those, course I was never really looking before either. Have you heard of/tried the Veji Bag? If so how do you think it compares to the green boxes? Guess, its time to start trying things. lol
Hi, I have 4 baofengs. (2) UV-5XP's (not sure if I need a license for those two) and (2) UV-82L's. I know I need one for the last two. I don't have a license however, but I'll have these w/ me and anyone who does can use them if needed.
I think the top of the event page here shows the start...
Hi Everyone,
I'm fairly new. I'm in the Sarasota/Tampa area of Florida.
I drive a 2013 Jeep Wrangler JKU sport, named Source Code
Pretty new to overlanding, but not to camping.

Hi Everyone, I bought a 2013 Wrangler JKU sport back in April and have been slowly updating it to be my overland rig. I recently found a military case surplus place near me. I picked up a few cases and have plans to clean them up, paint them to match the jeep and make a camping/overland set w/...
