Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I use a bag with built in filter.
On/off gravity fed.
Filters out silt, cysts, protozoa and bacteria down to 0.2 microns in size, including giardia, salmonella, cryptosporidia and others.
Ordered on 3/24 delivered 4/24.
Def some mfg issues on the welding.
But unlike others I did recieve the fasteners in the wooden box.
Shipping via crappy shipping company. 1 piece of cardboard on each end. Wrapped in newspaper and then plastic.
Not a lot between the storage bag and plastic...
Nice, agreed those welds are not pretty. But as long as the awning material is solid and rhe aluminim is good. You can make it work.
Thanks for the pics. Nice to see one actaully installed in the real world.
I run a heat exchanger and pump under the hood with an on and off switch.
Have the pump connected to hydraulic quick disconnects. And it's plumbed into the trucks heating/cooling for heating water that runs through the exchage.
I connect hose to one end with a filter, toss it into water source...
I used mine this past weekend, first winter, well spring camp of, the season. Still have snow, but was raining.
I had my annex on, so it stayed below. Opened up the door and let the heat in. Worked well enough before bed time and wake time to get warmth going.
