Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Thanks for the support. If you have never been through a chronic problem that lasts for years, it is hard to comprehend. Everybody thinks you can simply take a pill or a shot and all is gone. Not hardly. I have been prescribed over 20 drugs and had 8 surgeries trying to get rid of these...
I have almost 40 hours into prepping my rig for a paint job. The previous jobs were a weekend start to finish proposition and the cheap acrylic enamel would only last 3-4 years outside. I have used probably 100 sheets of peel and stick on my DA's ranging from 120 to 400 grit this go around. Hope...

Question on spray plastic dye. I use the off the shelf spray vinyl dye (Duplicolor) to freshen up and change interior plastic and it looks great. The problem is that it only seems to last 2-3 years before it starts to fail and I have to go in with some toluene and pretty much take it all off...
The biggest issue with not mounting vertical is the pickup in the tank. The vent only comes into play when filling the tank and then only if they fill it that way, not using weight.
I carry a ton of stuff because I tend to go alone a lot. Remember, tools only do so much. Most times, a replacement part of some type is necessary. I drive an old Jeep XJ that I keep in tip top condition but something can always break. I use common sense and while my vehicle is extremely...
I have a good Epson flatbed scanner but I am not satisfied with the results. I have several banker's boxes full of stuff I would like to high-res scan.
Most of what I print is in the 30x40 range so resolution and fidelity is of prime importance.
When I was a professional, I used Ektrachrome 100 for my 120/220 roll and 4x5 and 8x10 sheets IIRC. I only used Kodachrome for 35mm way back when. When Kodak started dicking with their professional films, I tried their VR??? but ended up switching over to Fujichrome professional for the 120...
A ferrite choke may help. The problem is that the lights run an active switching power supply to drop the 12v down and limit it to the roughly 3v the LEDs use. Actually they need a constant current, not constant voltage. These switchers do not have any inductance or capacitance to curb the RF...
The shop here does not even do the water borne paints. I could have handled $65 but not twice that. I ended up buying a gallon online for less than $100. Now I guess I will paint all my tools bright red.
Loveland is about as liberal as it gets anymore. What happened to the quiet sleepy little town I moved to 50 years ago. When they say I am breaking the law for having my kids over for Thanksgiving, I say F them.
WTF is with paint prices. I went to my local professional auto body/paint supply and wanted a half pint of something similar to Viper Red for a stripe. They quoted me $135. They wanted $40 for a quart of reducer and $40 for hardener.
I can go to PaintforCars.com and get a gallon kit of a...
I have lived in Colorado most of my adult life. There is no Colorado any more. All there is, is a Socialist anarchy ruining the whole damn state. I am working on selling my home and finding somewhere else to live.
I have since switched over to digital. I miss film with rise, fall, swings and tilts, but digital has its advantage. Everything I want to keep for more than a scrap book is shot in HDR and post processed. Working almost exclusively in the mountains, my favorite lense tends to be in the 10 to...
