Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I had a trailer for a little while. a rugged military one with RTT on it. I liked the idea of it, but once I got out riding trails...the constant worry of running into dead ends with a trailer and full size rig just got too annoying.
Oh i'm definitely slowing down on the spending lol. I bought a trailer originally, then decided to sell it. So that covered the bed rack and RTT. After this decked system, i'm thinking of a new bumper...but that will be this fall sometime
I've got a 2017 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab Z71 4x4. Just recently added the KB VooDoo Rack to the bed and put a Hi Vis Overland Crag2 on it. I have 275/70/18 BFGoodrich KO2's with a leveling kit. I just ordered and received my Decked system for the bed of the truck, so that will be installed this...
My latest purchase is a Decked drawer system for my 2017 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab. It arrives today so excited to put it together and get it in the truck
Uwharrie will still be pretty hot & muggy first weekend in September. Plus like Trey said, I think it’s more suited for serious Jeeps. I’m down for a camping trip at the lake there in the fall and then do the trails riding passenger in someone’s Jeep haha
This is awesome dude, thank you. I can never have enough information that's for sure. Especially for my first time going somewhere. I try to very as aware as possible to make sure i'm not breaking any laws, or doing anything else I shouldn't be
Thanks. Are there any additional fees or permits needed? I know the fee for the ferry, but any permit for camping or driving on the island that I'm not aware of? I didn't find anything with my research
A friend and I are looking at doing a 4-5 day trip over Labor Day weekend. I've only been in NC for about 18 months after moving from Los Angeles. I've seen from this thread there might be a few different ferry options with different Island options? or do both ferry's go to the same island?
And...
I'll miss out on this caravan. I'll be driving back from Nashville Friday morning from a work trip, so I'll be camping at Gorges Friday night and hopefully can reserve the campsite for all of us
