Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I’ve noticed that if I try to use OB1 on one of my mobile devices, then swap to the other (iPhone/iPad), I have to log out/in on the device I’m trying to use to get things to load properly. Not sure if this is a security issue or a bug, but just wanted to bring attention to it.
It’s not an elegant solution, but you can export all of your gpx files from Gaia and put them in a cloud storage/thumb drive as a back up. If Gaia shits the bed on you, just upload your gpx files back to it. If you store them locally on your phone or tablet or laptop, you could handle this even...
That style will do nothing to support my lumbar where my fusion is. I think this one will support my lumbar and relieve some pressure from my thoracic (tumor/cyst thing on my t4/5 area from an injury that didn’t heal properly, not cancerous). Basically I need a lot of back support and to be...
I would say my biggest issue is chair comfort. As a 100% disabled vet, seating comfort is pretty high on the list for me or else my back starts screaming at me. I’ve been considering the Helinox chairs, but it’s hard to decide to drop that kind of cash without being able to sit on it first. So...
So, I think the DJI Mini 3 is the play for me for now based on it not needing a FAA license, more affordable. Maybe in the future I’ll consider the Skydio or Mavic as an upgrade. The Skydio is very interesting with it’s tracking ability.
Do you all think the DJI remote with built in screen is...
My thoughts were less with the api and processing power of the iPad (I have a 11” Pro with M1 chip) and more with the actual gps unit in the iPad. I can only assume it’s less sensitive/accurate/more prone to disruption as it probably doesn’t have as high end of a gps as say an InReach. My...
Using the Garmin as my gps for the iPad? You just pair it to the iPad with Bluetooth. Gaia will function normally utilize gps data from the Garmin instead of the internal gps unit
Can’t say I’ve had this issue with Gaia, but every time it wants to download updated maps, it takes forever. I’ve also had it lag out on tracking me when I’m offroad. That lag might just be the gps in the iPad though, I’m not sure, but it makes me want to add an Inreach Mini to be the actual gps...
My current 12v plug for my CFX3 has been getting chewed up (keeps getting caught in my fridge slide). I’ve found a solution to that problem, but Dometic and every online retailer I’ve checked has been out of stock on spare 12v plugs for MONTHS. Does anyone have a lead on where to find one...
