Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
It isn't a recommended technique for those who carry higher loads since the axles are meant to be loaded in only one direction. If you look down the line of the axle, it has a bend to it to account for load (you can reweld the porches to maintain orientation).
That being said, I did it and...
Hey that's awesome! Class of '12 here. Always good running into another Aggie!
I like FrontRunner's stuff. I'm looking into getting their water tank and other misc. accessories too since I've only heard good feedback.
Definitely what I wanted to see. Thanks for posting. Do you use dividers or anything to split up the items in each bin?
We'll be in the Jeep towing a small utility trailer with the RTT on top. I'm trying to keep our back seat empty as we'll also be traveling with our 1-yr old. So really, trying...
I like the ideas of packing interchangeable similar clothes and packaging them together. Like Monday grab this bag of clothes, Tuesday this one, etc. and then on Saturday, laundry and reset bags.
Either option gives a similar act of reaching in and just taking whatever you pull out.
Thanks for...
My wife and I took a 2-week, 6000-mi trip a while back and our biggest complaint was having to dig through duffles buried amongst sweaters, jackets, shoes, and what-not to find clothes. With our next long trip coming up this summer, we're revisiting this issue and are determined to find a...
I'm a big fan of the Foresters and was considering one instead of the 4Runner. Look into LPAdventure. Most dealers already stock some Foresters and Outbacks with their lift kits installed.
I think of them like AEV is to Jeep and Roush is to Ford.
As long as you don't mind a CVT, the Subaru is...
Bought and installed a Warn M8000 winch over the weekend. It may not be the biggest but it didn't hurt the wallet and it'll do fine with a snatch block and some tow straps in series. Glad to finally fill the hole in the bumper.
Next up is a suspension refresh with a 2.5" AEV system and a RTT...

Finally bought and installed the Warn M8000 that was sitting in my Amazon cart for the last 3-years.
Also, my friend just received his Bronco Black Diamond with Sasquatch so we compared the heights.
His is the Bronco with a ~1.5" Sasquatch lift and 315/70/17 Tires (35") and mine is the Jeep...
I'll second the push to buy the Pro4X with the additional protection and rear locker. That way, you really only need good tires and you can go just about anywhere as is.
I've only put lifts on our Jeep and 4Runner because I thought they looked way too low from the factory, purely subjective.
Hey there, I had a couple of questions about your build as I think I'm about to do the same thing.
1) What all did you do to fit larger wheels and tires? Flipped the axle and... any wheel spacers, lug pattern changes, etc.
2) How has it held up? I read one of MOAK's comments here and elsewhere...
