I run a lot of state forests around schoharie county and surrounding ... not the adk , but still cool ... Some designated campsites and some nice woods riding nothing too extreme
so when it comes time to trade in or sell your rig .... I have found the best way to remove the ob emblem is to use a high test fishing line ... loop it around each hand and slide line behind emblem ... cuts the glue and will not harm the emblem or the vehicle ..... no prying no risk no mess...
Thanks for the response .... I have also shifted gears .... I just purchased a 2017 jku willys wheeler ... so the gears and axle situation has improved ... now to begin the build ...
So I have a 2003 Jeep TJ with the dreaded dana 35 and 3:07 gear combo ... right now I run 31's at's and its decent except for steep hills ... I am thinking of stepping up to a 33 x10.50 x 15 or a 34 x 9.50 x 15 mud or super swamper .... any real world experience with this ... swaps seem...
ny state land camp any where 150 from a water source or road (tough with a rig ) and any camp here marker ... there are a few in the burnt rossman hills state land
I am up in Schoharie .... lots of nice seasonal state forest roads ... very little challenge but nice rides and cool camp sites... I have not found anything in the Catskills....check out some state forests and look for some good dirt roads

not sure of your route but if you go thru NY I know quite a few nice seasonal roads (nothing too challenging ) ...Schoharie county area ...beautiful area to see .
If it was a choice of same vehicle stock vs modified by someone else ... I would choose stock however in this case ...having owned both I would choose the runner . IMO a better platform and more comfort . I found the exterra extremely narrow in interior space ... its all a matter of opinion but...
