So far it looks like I’ll be there. The wife is planning to come with me on this one. We will probably hang for a little while as we are also heading up to the Austin area.
What a great weekend. Enjoyed hanging with each of you guys… also, the good weather, good conversation, good music, and lots and lots of laughs. I needed this break out in nature with the guys. It’s good for the soul. #naturesmedicine
Ps. Let’s stay in conversation on where everyone’s...
I’d be down to do a drive on Saturday if anyone has a good route in mind. Or we can just chill. We can discuss later.
I’m in route. It looks like a 10:30-ish arrival. My phone reception is always spotty out there. So I’ll switch to channel 15 on my radio once I get in the area.
Awesome! It’ll be great to meet some more local Overlanders. I’ll be in the Austin area on Saturday, but I’ll try and make it back before y’all wrap up at 8pm.
Here's the Rigs and Coffee meet up. I'd love to see more San Antonio Overland people out there. :)

Any chance the San Antonio meetup will be happening again? I have been meeting up with the Rigs & Coffee group in the interim, but look forward to seeing more San Anotnio folks again.
I had a good time talking with everyone and listening to the collective wisdom of the group. I feel like I even got a mini lesson in winch recovery too! Big high fives to Larry, Mark, Danny and Scott!
I did not get a chance to take very many photos, but I managed to get a couple of pictures...
Thanks for taking pictures! I didnt even realize you did that. I was hoping that someone was photo documenting this gathering. Also, thanks for showing me around your "cop car", very cool rig. :)
I had a great time meeting up with you guys on this one. Thanks for the wisdom, good conversation and cold beverages (@WalkingBear ;) !
Here are the pics I took at this Meet Up...

See you at the next Rally Point!
:)
Thanks! This was my third time to meet up with Overland Bound folks, but by far the best one yet. I really enjoyed your wisdom and the camaraderie of the group. Hope to see you at the next rally point.
Love your ranger! I am super appreciative that you posted where you got your gear. I'm going to use your links to purchase the power outlets for the bed of my Ranger. Keep up the adventures AND the posts!
9 hour drive?! That's quiet a distance off course to get there! But I guess the journey is part of the adventure. :grimacing: As for the road being washed out for you, it was blocked going up through the Medano Pass the other direction on our trip too. We had to turn around, so it limited the...
When you have little ones on the trip with you, sometimes you have to take the path of peace. One must consider the comfort of his little weary travelers while still continuing to provide a fun adventure...
Part 3
Yeah, when you only have limited time off of work, it's best to stop at hotels quickly and get to the destination. Plus, TX doesnt have much to offer with dispersed camping anyways. Otherwise, I'd camp more around the area. Anyways, thanks for watching Roots66! :relaxed:
