The land rovers require so much maintenance and are usually over priced. The vehicles I would look at are
90s f series trucks/ suvs
90s Chevy trucks/ suvs
90s Toyota trucks and suvs
Late 90s early 2k jeep ZJ's (V8) XJ's and WJ's (V8)
Late 90s early 2k duragos with V8
Early 2k 4 door S-10 w/...
Haven't seen a decent FJ or wagoner for that anything close to that price. Your best bet would be a 80s bronco or blazer. But they ain't gunnar be pretty.

The problem with the 80s vehicles is a lot of them either got smashed, crashed or they are growing in popularity and the prices have sky rocketed.

I would do something like the military 20L or the water bricks. But have been proven long lasting water solutions for most.

I'm using the same brand but in a 40" straight and some cheap amazon lights for backup lights no side or rock lights yet need to upgrade my alternator first.

I had two of those for about 6 years seems manufacturing on them has gotten cheaper I would check thickness as that was the problem with mine one was really thick like the military style and was was thin like a cheap Walmart 5 gallon.

I have 3 20L military water containers that van go many places. But when my trailer gets built I will also have another 10-16 gallons under the trailer that will have a water pump to give me a fully functional kitchen sink. And will double as a shower when needed.

When my family has gone out we normally WAY over pack meals and it's simply because I'm a fat lard that loves to eat. With that said recently my wife(8 months pregnant btw) our 2 year old and myself made a nice 5 day trip in which the last two days we were with several other families. Because of...
Lots of good easy recipes online that can be modified for overlanding/ camping.
Heck my last camping trip I made a makeshift black berry cobbler using bisquick pancake mix and fresh blackberries.
Very nice using uniballs! I've been thinking about getting a diesel Colorado myself. I had an 04 and an 07 Colorado both with the inline 5 cylinders and to be honest they had much to be desired. However I heard the few equipped with the 5.3 were beasts.
Very cool!
How is this suspension going to rate next to say BDS? As I've seen only them and rough country currently produce popular kits for these trucks.
