My wife and I are heading up towards Usal Road and the beach... Coming back into town this evening...
I'm sharing just in case something goes wrong...
We'll be on the 'Overland' channel.... 146.1460 lol
As well as the Willits WinSystem repeater if we can get it....
I'm not a legal expert.... But this clearly says it complies with Part 90. But I'm also licensed so there is that caveat.
All that being said, it's really easy to get an amateur radio license and I'd rather use those frequencies than FRS or GMRS any day.
Good luck Tundra camper
I don't know if the radios that Baofeng made after 2017 have that sticker... I would definitely ask for a photo showing under the battery where the label would be.
I have 3 Baofeng UV5R handheld radios. They can be had for about $50 a piece
The frequency spectrum is wide enough to handle not only 2M and 70cm frequencies, but also NOAA as well as FRS and GMRS frequencies.... It includes a dual mode which allows you to monitor separate frequencies...
I used to just use my Baofengs for GMRS and ham, but recently got a Chinese ham hard installed... The frequencies are wide enough to handle GMRS....
I don't run a CB anymore... Just keep it in the back of one of my drawers just in case
Trying to find the T-Mobile equivalent....

I was looking for the same thing, but had a hard time finding it. I finally settled on this, it's a Comet.
It is not flexible, but it is designed to bend when you pull it straight up and over.
I find this very helpful when I am loading up my kayaks.
Good luck with that search!
I have my CB in my drawer system in case I need it, and use ham/GMRS.... Then I connected the CB Firestik to my car stereo.... Works great and eliminated the power antenna in my 80 Series
CB's are out there, but the noise floor is so high that it's often unusable. I find myself mostly using Ham, GMRS, or even FRS out there.
In fact my CB is so rarely used that it's in a box in the back of my drawer system (just in case) and the antenna is now connected to my AM/FM radio lol
11mpg for another 300k....... #yay
I want to do the Cummins RePower 2.8 and I understand that there is a window for 91-97 or 98 to do that and make everything Ca smog exempt..... but there's no point until this engine goes kaputtt
I've got 347K and counting on my 94... Oil pressure also reads low at idle.... I will keep this post handy in case the engine goes on me :-) I'm over in Suisun
