idea:
1. if there is a group of at least 3 or more of us at one camp spot, that's the gathering point
2. if 1. doesn't apply, we'll find a public spot at the exhibition area.
would prefer the 1st option ...
I'm in.
BUT: for having the slightest chance to gather at one point and put up camp, we've to be there super early. I mean SUPER SUPER early. 2016 I arrived there thursday noon, the entire place totallty jampacked. just some muddy lots left by the creek.
oh, fridge of course, no question. put a 100W solar panel on the roof and 90Ah in the back, and you're good to go for a week if not more without firing up the engine ..
first stage ready. upcoming next week(end): top rails around the front, and awning mounts.
most of the rear part will be kept free to host an ARB Simpson III opening to the side.
edit: to add a bit of information about the why. 2 arguments:
1. why buy a commercial full roof rack to have...
At first use during our Norway trip this August I used velrco ties/straps. But I will switch to snap in clips for tubings, 2 clips bolted back-to-back (both lights and rafter arms are 1") and then 2 of those mounts per light.
another note on this: all (!) wild camp sites I spotted prior to the tour using google maps/earth where on private land and only reachable via private roads. for wild camping one must go way further north it seems ..
tolls on Rv or E roads. am registered to EPC anyways. other scenic veien paid by credit card, dead easy. no on the ferry back to denmark. was an amazing trip, despite the weather :-(
as we're heading north tomorrow morning, can ANYONE tell me please how road tolls for the tourist routes in norway, such as panoramavegen, jotunheimvegen etc. are being paid at the gates?
'leave it tidier than you found it'
and go along with the general allemansretten roules. of course.
hope we're good to go with that. landing in kristiansand on august 2nd.
thanks you so much for the inspiration @Cappy410 , am enjoying your vids every time! I think I'm going to start my own overlanding trailer project when we're back from our overlanding honeymoon trip through norway :-)
thanks for your kind words. and please apologize it took me 3 months to reply :D
yeah, love the city. it's always good when the stretch of your city fits into your head, and you know the northern- and southernmost places. just my 2 cents. doesn't mean larger cities aren't fascinating .. though...
