Welcome to the forum. Not familiar with Moab but in AZ around Sedona used to be you could camp anywhere on federal land. I'm sure it's still that way. I didn't own a 4x4 when I lived in Phoenix, so I never hit the trails there. Did a lot of hiking but no trail running.
The wife and I were planning a trip there this summer. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel. Seeing these images is making me even more disappointed we can't make it there this summer. Nice trip report.

We have a GC that I daily drive but I'll never give up my Wrangler. I've looked at 80's and 4Runners. But in the end, I'm a topless Jeep guy. And yah, hoping to score a trailer this summer. But we've grown accustomed to traveling in a Wrangler, and pack smartly.
Lol, not a lot more room. I'm hoping to get an M416 to convert and put an RTT on this summer. Had to put a rack on my JKU because space is limited and I won't give up the fastback.
