    East coast to west coast

Welcome to the forum. Not familiar with Moab but in AZ around Sedona used to be you could camp anywhere on federal land. I'm sure it's still that way. I didn't own a 4x4 when I lived in Phoenix, so I never hit the trails there. Did a lot of hiking but no trail running.

    Miller Lockwood trail

Looks like a great trip and a great place to explore. And, nice rigs.

    Appalachian Trip West (Part 2)

The wife and I were planning a trip there this summer. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel. Seeing these images is making me even more disappointed we can't make it there this summer. Nice trip report.

Sorry, I need to vent..Jeep wave..

This has always been my understand too. Dating back to WWII when the open top Jeep drivers, driving their commanders around would wave to one another.

Sorry, I need to vent..Jeep wave..

I wave at anyone who waves at me. Unless a Jeep is modded and more than likely an off roader, I don't even bother though unless they wave first. AFAIK, the Jeep wave in my area has traditionally been among Wrangler style Jeeps. When I'm driving my Grand Cherokee, I don't even think about it. I...

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I don't know much about extended fuel tanks so I can't help you out there.

One of the beautiful things about a Jeep, is as your interests change, it's easy to modify or de-modify it with ease.

A lot of people around my area are into rock crawling too. Not really my thing. I like to get out and explore. But to each their own. I have a lot of respect for rock crawling rigs. But mine is built a bit more tame since I spend a lot of time on the highway, as well as the trails. I'd rather go...

We have a GC that I daily drive but I'll never give up my Wrangler. I've looked at 80's and 4Runners. But in the end, I'm a topless Jeep guy. And yah, hoping to score a trailer this summer. But we've grown accustomed to traveling in a Wrangler, and pack smartly.

Lol, not a lot more room. I'm hoping to get an M416 to convert and put an RTT on this summer. Had to put a rack on my JKU because space is limited and I won't give up the fastback.
