Welcome to the forum. What part of Michigan are you from? We usually make a trip up there each year and go to Traverse City for a few days then head to the U.P. Trying to convince my wife to move there but so far have been unsuccessful.
Well well. I may have to get one of these, depending on how much they are going to cost when they hit the market. I'd love to have a Wrangler pick up. Especially the Diesel version they are supposedly going to offer...
Nice looking XJ. Would like to get my hands on one someday that's still in good condition. My 07' Grand Cherokee was a piece of shit so we just traded it in for a Patriot for my wife. I'll always have my Wrangler, but would love to get my hands on a clean XJ someday to build for exploring.
My bias opinion would be sell the truck and get an adventure trailer with an RTT and all the goodies. Or sell them both and buy a JKUR. But really, depends on what you want to do. If you're really wanting to go off the grid then as stated, the truck is too big. But, the 2 door without a trailer...
Holy cow! That's some expensive property. Last year we looked at 250 acres in the U.P. for around $140,000. Heavily wooded and completely off the grid. I'd love to live back up there someday but unfortunately my wife isn't too fond of the cold.
A drive up the peninsula from Traverse City is beautiful. Plus, there are quite a few winerys to stop at and sample the local wines. As well as several road side farm stands.
