Ya I have had more than a few folks give me the "wait a minute, is that what I think it is" look. I am a younger dude as well so it usually throws them off that I have a film camera let alone a hassy
Hey folks! American but I have been living near Oxford for a year or so and will be in England for a few years, am out in Cyprus at the moment on a tasking. Will be back in July to receive my 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKU. Hope I can manage to grab a few pints or hit some trails with some of ya!
Congrats! They are lovley and will snap a few necks coming out of the camera bag. Good conversation piece when at group shoots / events. Models seem to love mine as well.
Figure this might be the thread to say hello! American living near Oxford for a few years, 2017 JKU will be in country come July (Build thread soon, still working on the dream sheet) when I get back from a tasking in Cyprus! Hope to meet at least a few of you, don't mind driving have been up...
They are pretty solid and a lot of fun to fly honestly. I find myself enjoying just zipping the thing around more than actually filming or photographing sometimes! Obviously, a good crash will thrash it but they pretty much fly themselves, as long as your conscious of what your doing you will...
Killer to see some other photographers!
Used to shoot Canon full L setups etc, dumped it last year for an XT-1 and have not looked back, just swapped it out for the T-2. Have a full line of lenses, 10-24 by far is best for landscapes, the new 16 rocks for astro work. I have the 50-140 on the...
Was just on their site and they have some pretty good photos even with measurements. I think they just stole Teraflexs money as far as I am concerned. Probably going to end up going with this one over their cargo rack...
It seems my avatar is ringing true, ah well I have folks coming out in November So I can do the rear and the cubbies before then, and then once they are back in the states I won't have a need for the rear seats and can finish it all off with the seat delete!
That is killer, and I noticed you already have a setup for the rear cargo space, if we get this kit does it flatten from the rear seats to the tailgate or is this just for the space where the seats are and we have to buy the other sections?
Nice stuff! My 17 comes in July when I get back to England from deployment and this has me even more excited! Think I am going Rhino-Rack route but the GOBI was so tempting! Looks great, following your thread!
Good to know I have made someones day better! JKU is Jeeps JK Unlimited (4 Door Wrangler 07-17) for those who also don't know and don't wanna look to hard!
Awesome build! my 17 comes over to England in July and you have done most of what I have in mind! Going to mount my JB on the Rhino Rack system and avoid a trailer however and will probably do the whole rear in Goose, loving their side cubbies. I want to really thank you for the solid photos...
Popping in to say hello before getting lost in the Jeep builds.
Born and raised in Ohio but living over in England and have a 17' JKU on the way. The plan is to build it up once I get back to England early July!
I met Corey #3777 when I was in Okinawa and he just recommended me and another...
