Nomadic 270 degree awning form Overland Vehicle Systems

So just another update on my awning. I just spend a day doing some moderate off roading. We got to a nice little viewpoint so I decided to set up the awning while we relaxed. Opened it up and a bolt from the pivot joint fell out. It was an easy fix as I just need to line everything up and...

    2011 F150 FX4 Build is Now Underway

Yea I have that in my budget for the build. It was definitely a shock when I initially did my research. Still scratching my head on why they placed the intercooler so low, but they have their reasons.

    2011 F150 FX4 Build is Now Underway

That is true. There are plenty of suspension and wheels for the f-150, which is the most important part. I think my issue is I’m on the next phase, which is bumper with winch. I’m struggling more on that one as all the options are just overly bulky and I get jealous of all the minimalist...

    2011 F150 FX4 Build is Now Underway

It is definitely off road capable. There will be some trails that a full size will have a challenge, but for the most part you should be fine. All you need in the beginning is to get those 20” wheels down to 17” or 18”, some bigger tires, and you’re good to go. As much of a pain in the butt it...

The Official Dometic CFX Fridge Feed!

Thats unfortunate to hear. I guess I can run the AC plug and then switch over to the 12V when at camp. Little more hassle but at least it will prevent shutoff while driving

The Official Dometic CFX Fridge Feed!

Anyone have an issue with the 12V plug falling out of the socket? I took my Dometic CFX3 55IM off-roading today and twice when I went back to grab something noticed that the fridge was off. Turned out that the plug backed out enough to lose power and I had to push back in. The trail had some...

    New Goal Zero Yeti 500x

The wife and I decided to do a trail on a local mountain and have a quick lunch. Decided to test out the Dometic with the 500x and noticed an issue. When I got to the lunch spot, I went to the back and noticed the fridge was off. When I looked at the 12v plug, it looks like it backed out...

    Shell vs. Leitner Bed Rack

I’m biased but I love my Leitner rack. I went with a XL pod and 3 regular pods. The XL pretty much carries sleeping gear/ personal bag while the 3 pods separates my tool/emergency, recovery, and air.

    Overlanding Raptor Build

What is the name of the shop if you don't mind me asking? Trying to get quotes out for a rear bumper and sliders.

    Something different. Let’s talk music.

My wife thinks I have the weirdest playlist because one minute you hear electronic music like tropical house, then you will hear some classic rock, some 90s hits, and then out of nowhere some country. After an hour she usually puts on her playlist :tearsofjoy:

Man they did a great job! Just sent them a quote for a build based on that bumper. On a side note, your signature reminded me of my 1st platoon. That was our platoon motto.

    Open vs enclosed truck bed

I used to run a tonneau. I know people swear by camper shells, but maybe it is just me, but I've never liked the look. I ended up with the Leitner and love it. Anything in the bed will get dusty, but everything in the bed is in a box. My fridge is in the cab and can still carry 4 people if...
