Here is a photo of a tire replacement we did a few weeks ago where the floor jack was awesome. To get the wheel high enough with a Hi-Lift, it would have needed to be near the top of the lift due to the amount of wheel travel he has on the rear.
Would a decent quality electric impact not be sufficient? I have a Viair 400P and it does great for pumping the tires but not many portable compressors would be up to the task of air tools. I've been looking at the DeWalt Brushless 1/2" Impact. Impressive torque specs with "Up to 700 ft-lbs of...
Hi All,
I was just curious what your thoughts are between a Hi-Lift vs a Floor Jack? I personally use both, but personally if I had to just pick one, I would have to say I'm going with a Floor Jack. I currently use the Pro-Eagle jack that has a plate on the underside to keep it from sinking in...
Looks like a pretty solid spread across the nation. It will be interesting to see one of these each month side by side to see the growth of the community! Loving it so far.
Hi All,
I joined a week ago, finally making it over here to introduce myself. I've taken on the task of outfitting my 2015 Chevy Colorado to compete with the big boys. I'm building a pre running overland style. I look forward to learning more trails and meeting new people who share the same...
I am driving a 2015 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab Z71 4WD. I was using 275/70/17 for the KO2. In the Falkens I am using 285/70/17. They are certainly bigger but ride much better. I've used them in sandy conditions, packed dirt, and little bit of mud. Hoping to get them out in the snow this winter. A...
iPad mini without a doubt. The 4 would be ideal but the 2 will handle most overland applications. They are around 200-250 for wifi, then you have to get a GPS puck or you can get the 4G model that comes with a GPS chip, albeit its not quite as accurate as a dedicated puck, but accurate enough...
I am running the new Falken AT3W. They have been amazing so far. I came from KO2 that for whatever reason gave me lots of vibrations no matter who balanced the tires. Switched to the Falkens and all my problems were gone and they have been great at everything I've thrown at them.
Here is a good explanation of why you can only download small tiles:

The customer service from LeadNav is top notch. I've used it for many various trails and it has always pulled through.
I currently use LeadNav. This question has been asked on their forum and it is due to limitations set by the company providing the satellite imagery. The company has a monopoly on the imagery and charges a pretty penny to download the images for offline use and the application companies are on...
Hi!
I have a 2015 Z71 Colorado short bed. I currently have a soft topper, but am considering ditching it for a rack to run a RTT as well, however I want to keep my RTT flush with the cab. Do you mind showing pictures of how you mounted it to the bed rails?
