If all pans out well and the unit is a keeper, I think the power I have onboard is sufficient for a few hours each night. I have 3-100ah lithium batteries with a dc-dc 50 amp charge controller, plus 200 watts of solar. 2 days would be the most time I will be sitting still, so power isn’t my...
Getting steaks ready for vacuum sealing and I get the pick of the litter for the next trip! With 3.5lbs of fatty meat left over, I rendered it down for some cooking oil and some pemmican treats for my pup! He loves me!! 3 jars of oil in total.
Agreed on the max power issue. Im still holding out the hope in this $250 unit… in regards to your last comment about being comfortable, I am a Patreon of Dan Grec from “the road chose me,” and from a man who solo’d around Africa, he said he wouldn’t bother with a/c. Extra weight, power, need...
For those that cares: Email response received from Outequippro.com I referenced in this post.
Below is the breakdown of the approximate power consumption in watts for the 12V version of the unit, based on the current draw in each mode:
Turbo Mode: 58A × 12V = 696W
Eco Mode: 29A × 12V = 348W...
No testing today…the daily FL rain wears on ya like…..fill in the blank!
It was 76* with 89% humidity around 8am. I set everything up and then deluge!!!!
I have been sitting here all afternoon thinking about it and you are right. I will test again tomorrow.
I am repairing a mini split system right now and now that I think about it, your comment makes sense. Not sure why I didn’t see this at the time. Maybe household 6 stressors had my mind...
I really wanted this to work! I even started planning how I would permanently vent it outside and ordered some of the parts. BUT, the initial test results are completely and utterly pitiful. I guess you get what you pay for! My expectation management bar was set very low and this unit didn't...
yes the front top is the out and the bottom is in. The rear also has a dual cover option. If you zoom in on pic#3 you can see the white styrofoam output section and the coil in the bottom.
uhm....nope...."I did not go with the BougeRV unit but went with a Vevor 4k BTU unit"

Well I didn't have to ask forgiveness nor am I in the dog house for not asking permission so I guess she is a keeper!!!! After 28 years, Can she really do better at this point??
The portable A/C purchase is complete and arrived today. Unboxing it, I was surprised as the weight as I thought it...
Diesel Heater spark arrester: After reading about fires, how to avoid them, then seeing that things like this are mandatory out west, I decided to make a spark arrester for my diesel heater exhaust! Just another thing to add to the tool kit!!
You know you’re bored when you take a YouTube short and create a tool!!! Not sure what I think about this idea yet but it's either tossing a rock or using a tool??? Maybe I am just bored?? But if getting that pesky “garbage” rope over a tree branch could be easier, why not? Part 1 complete. Now...
Well, I haven't posted on this page in a while so I guess I can get it updated.
Gasland tankless Hot water heater journey. So I found out that I broke it! Too many volts burned up the ignition unit. Reading is fundamental. Max volts is 3, I connected 12vDC. oops! Anyways, in my research, all...
Figured I needed this in my tool box for the diesel heater exhaust! Home made spark arrester! Used 2 deep well sockets to form it and then rounded the edges! Interesting bonus is that the base expands due to the folds!
I wrestled with similar decisions. I don’t have the need for using the bed for utility but I did make my system modular so it can be removed in a day. 6 sections with quick disconnects and the cap!
I almost went with building something like the decked system but it evolved in my 10 month build...
