I love my yj and my rh drive tj for local romps but my 95 f350,landrover and 1999 xj do all the real work. The only thing I hate about Toyota besides the price tag is that they still use drum brakes on the rear axle. Who still uses drum brakes.
I went the 270 awning route later but on my rover, I mounted the one you have on the right side so if I pulled off the road I was looking a the scenic view and not traffic.
If it is in you budget I run the stock wheels and tires for daily driving and mt tires on the trail. If your not trying to drive over downed trees and really deep ruts. I think you will be fine with the stock wheels and if you can get more on the cheap, the better. Look at 4xoverland on YouTube...
If you mount the cans on the roof rack over the fill cap for your vehicle, lowes, home depot and get a siphon hose with the brass fitting on the end and it will suck them dry and you did not have to move them.
I use a portable shower that uses a small propane bottle. I use it out on the trail and I hooking to the back of my semi and use it any where. It's the ecotemp hot water on demand.
My mt tires that are mounted on the spare tire rack stay in place. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes to grab the floor jack and 2 stands (safety first) swap out one end and then the other. If you leave them on for and extra day or so until you have time to swap them again. Then impact gun makes all...

The roof of the car itself is designed to handle the weight in case of a rollover. Be picky about which one you want. I use the freespirit rtt because it is half as tall or thick as the others are when closed up. The other option is a small trail to mount it to.
Airbags are great on the road but not off road. You might be overloading your rig. Once you install the airbags, air lines, fittings and compressor you will need to carry shares of these new items. Upgrade your suspension and look at what your carrying.
I own and drive a semi truck, on 81 southbound in Virginia a car bounced off the guard rail and hit my trail. The driver of the car blamed me but the dash cam showed that I was driving straight and true and that I did not run him off the road.
I use AT tires for every day and a set of MT tires for the trail, electric impact gun with spare battery and charger in the rig. One of my three rigs has 2 spare tires.
I made 2 PVC pipe tubes 6ft long and 10 inches wide. One end is caped off and the other cap has a water faucet on it. On top is and air fitting to pressurize the tube if gravity is not enough, the fill cap is on the top also. 1-32 bottle case of water and 6 -1 gallon water jugs. Got a pin hole...
