For some reason only about 10 of the pictures you uploaded are viewable. But it's enough to get the idea... awesome build!

I did a couple things to forward the progress of my truck... I regularly attend King of the Hammers in Johnson Valley and it's coming up in about 5 weeks so I gotta get busy, busy, busy! Luckily my wife is on Chrismas break for the next 3 weeks so that should, in theory, free up some of my...
Dig the tire size and low stance... curious how well they tuck up into the wheel wells and what if any modifications were necessary to make that happen.

As you read there, it's a simple "tube over tube" heat exchanger. 1.5" copper pipe with a 1/2" copper pipe down the center of it. The 1.5" section of the heater is plumbed into the coolant system... more specifically, I pulled one hose off the heater core and ran it to the heat exchanger then...
Yeah man that old American iron is pretty solid and it's hard to beat stylistically! I'm in an old Suburban for many of the same reasons... big family, lots of gear and a budget! I have a build thread if you're interested.
Good luck with your build! It's tons of fun... well sometimes it's fun...
I'm guessing that you're not in California. [emoji12] we gotta hide our guns.
I actually have a gun lock out of a police cruiser that a buddy gave to me. It can be opened with a key or a remote switch.

I'd need something more like this only curved like to one you mentioned (I've looked around and can't find any for sale).

The other, better option is a shackle flip but I'd need my Deavers would have to be remade/replaced and I'm not...
You're right about that... unfortunately that won't make any difference with my stock shackles as they hit the bracelets and won't allow full droop, hence "cut, curve and lengthen". Its all good at full compression.

Built bumpstop cans and burned one in its final location.
Also built a contact pad on the u-bolt plate.

Bumpstops figured out. It looks like my shock body might hit the bumpstop can at full droop, I sure hope not. I won't know for sure until I cut, curve and lengthen my shackles so I can actually achieve full droop. But I like the results so far... just 3 more to build!
I had to build a...
Yeah man, looking back I wish I wouldn't have lifted it so high. I'm really lucky that it didn't do any damage... live and learn I guess. [emoji53]

Love this! I pulled the hardware off an old Z bed and built a bed in my 65. I didn't feel like I'd need the cabinet space so I went wall to wall with it. The extra IDK, 12"? Made a nice difference... I wasn't really gonna camp in it much so it made sense.
Man, I'm pinning for another bus...
I drove a 1970 westy all through high school into my 20's, I miss that thing! Later in life I grabbed a 1965 11 window kombi. All I have left of my vw days are awesome memories and a handful of pictures...
I took that thing everywhere, and I'll tell you what, they do extraordinarily good...
Checking for clearance issues. Found a couple in the rear of the truck but the front is good!
